About the Market at the Mill...

The Anselma Farmers and Artisans Market is a collaborative project of Maysie's Farm Conservation Center and the historic Mill at Anselma. We are open every Wednesday, 2-7pm, from May 20th through October.

The Market at the Mill features weekly children's activities on the green, with a focus on sustainable agriculture education and the active promotion of school gardens, farm-to-school, and whole food nutrition. We believe that education and hands-on experiences are the only way to preserve Chester County's local farms, farmlands, and farming as a way of life.

The Market at the Mill is a producers-only market! Our vendors include:

  • Four produce vendors featuring organic, biodynamic, hydroponic, and conventional produce
  • Fruit and flower vendors
  • Two bakeries offering whole grain breads, pies, cookies, and snack bars
  • Two cheesemakers providing artisanal cheeses from pastured animals
  • A meat vendor offering pastured beef
  • Homemade soap vendor, featuring natural and healthy soaps for your skin
  • Artists and artisans with metalwork, glassblowing, and recycled art items
  • A fair trade coffeehouse, making gourmet coffee drinks on site!
  • In addition, come visit and take a tour of the historic mill!! Volunteers are on site to show you the water wheel, the grindstones, and the grain... producing flour and cornmeal that you can bring home to your kitchen to bake.

The Market at the Mill partners with Chester County Cares and the Gleaning Program, providing local foods to our community members in need.

We are looking forward to our second season here at the Mill! It is a beautiful site, and a great group of vendors. The energy is in the air... come and join the fun!

Be among the first to see the Market at the Mill in full swing.

Looking forward to seeing you at the Mill!!
